Statement: JusticeMakers Bangladesh Protests and concerns Over the Abduction and Torture of Two Trans-women in Meherpur.

Bangladeshi human rights organization JusticeMakers Bangladesh has expressed deep concern and protest over the abduction and torture of two sexual minority transgender women in Meherpur.

JusticeMakers Bangladesh strongly demanded to ensure exemplary punishment by bring the accused criminal before the book after a quick and impartial investigation.

'আমরা হিজড়া ছিলাম না, গুরুমা নিজের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় হিজড়া বানিয়েছে'

গুরুমা হঠাও, দেশ বাঁচাও’ স্লোগান তুলে 'গুরুমা সীমা হিজড়া'র নির্যাতন ও তাঁর কর্তৃত্ববাদী শাসনের প্রতিবাদে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করেছেন মেহেরপুরের তৃতীয় লিঙ্গ সম্প্রদায়ের সদস্যরা। আজ সোমবার সকালে মেহেরপুর জেলা প্রেস ক্লাবে রেখা হিজড়ার নেতৃত্বে তৃতীয় লিঙ্গ সম্প্রদায়ের ১২ সদস্য সংবাদ সম্মেলনে বক্তব্য দেন।  

বক্তব্য দিতে গিয়ে গুরুমা হিসেবে পরিচিত সীমা হিজড়ার অন্যায়-অত্যাচারের বর্ণনা দিতে গিয়ে অনেকেই কেঁদে ফেলেন এবং প্রশাসনের কাছে তাঁর বিচার দাবি করেন।
