During the event, Advocate Shahanur Islam held discussions with Pierre Karleskind, Member of the European Parliament, Anne Souyris, and Clement Beaune, member of the National Assembly, France, about the human rights situation of LGBT individuals in Bangladesh and potential collaboration to ensure the rights of sexual minorities in Bangladesh.
Advocate Shahanur Islam expressed gratitude to the SIL board for the opportunity to participate in such a significant event, highlighting the importance of collective action in driving positive change. He remarked, "Events like the Salon De Association LGBT+ provide a platform for us to come together, amplify our voices, and advocate for the rights and equality of the LGBTQI community.
