Bangladesh Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma Victims (BRCT) along with Bangladesh Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) participate the international seminar on human rights reporting and tools for effective action which was included interactive training session on human rights documentation, monitoring, media, lobbying, campaign & project management including HURIDOCs tool for human rights documentation, practical tools and mechanism to communicate human rights, using media as a tools to lobby human rights violation, writing a project proposal and financial reporting.
The seminar was held on April 29 to May 01, 2009, at Rambhu Mhalgi Provodhini Knowledge- Excellent Centre, Uttan, Bhayander (Mumbai), Maharashtra, India. It was organized by the world famous human rights organization Global human Rights Defence (GHRD), The Hague, Netherlands and conducted by Center for Human Rights Studies (CHRS), Mumbai, India.
More than sixty participants from different thirty organizations of the south asian country including Bangladesh, India and Nepal participates the seminar and share & disseminate their experience by presentation and open discussion on combating and rehabilitation of human rights violation of minority, especially women & children, torture & organized violence.
Mr. Shahanur Islam Saikot, Programme Manager of Legal & Human Rights Affairs at BRCT particiapate the seminar and make a presentation on Combating Torture and Rehabilitation : A Perspective from Bangladesh on behalf of BRCT. Mr. Ehsanul Haque, Regional coordinator of BIHR and Prof. Pabitra Mahan Das, Executive Director of HRHP-Satkhra also participates the programme and presents those respective organizations at the seminar.
Mr. Sradhanand Sital, Chairman, GHRD, Mr. Nizaad Bissumbhar, Secretary, GHRD, Ms. Jenny Lundström, Human Rights Officer, GHRD, Ms. Priyanka Sarkar from Breakthrough, Mr. John Asit Das & Mr. Sha Alam Faruk from Ain o Salish Kendra discuss on the respective issues regarding to protect and promote human relights on global perspective.
